Health Care Assistant

The Health Care Assistant program at CDI College can prepare you for a rewarding career in this growing health care field. In the Health Care Assistant program, you will learn to assist people, especially older adults, who require physical care and support. The program focuses on the development of crucial personal and occupational qualities attendants need to care for residents of long-term care facilities. You will learn to identify and respond to the physical and emotional day-to-day needs of your clients. You will also receive practical, hands-on training in physical and mental activities and learn to observe and communicate with residents. You will also learn to operate and care for of specialized equipment. After successfully completing the Health Care Assistant program, you will be qualified to work in long-term care facilities, home health care agencies, retirement homes/residences, hospices and group homes.
