The Dental Receptionist Coordinator program at CDI College will prepare you to launch a new career in the dental field. You will learn about the clinical procedures of a dental office and learn to provide the support required to ensure the efficient function of a clinic or dental practice. You will study a wide range of medical and dental fundamentals in order to build a solid knowledge base about the practice of dentistry, including dental transcription and Oral Facial Sciences. You will focus a large portion of your studies on dental administration and learn to manage appointments, handle patient billing and maintain patient charts. In addition to standard business software, you will also learn various dental software applications.
As a graduate of this program, you may be eligible to work in a variety of dental offices, such as general dental practices, endodontic offices, periodontal practices, orthodontist offices and dental surgery practices. Employment may also be found in hospital dentist offices, dental labs and public health departments.
