If you are ready to make a difference in the lives of people living with substance abuse problems, you should consider enrolling in the Addictions and Community Services Worker program at CDI College. The specialized training of this program will help you understand and support clients struggling with alcohol and drug abuse. The program will provide you with a broad range of fundamental health care, psychology and sociology knowledge as well as the essential interpersonal communication skills to work with a variety of clients in this field.
This program also meets the formal training component of the CACCF (Canadian Addiction Counsellors Certification Federation) certification exam, an internationally-recognized and respected credential. After graduation, you will be qualified to work in entry-level positions in alcohol and drug treatment centers, group homes, correctional facilities, community mental health centers and outreach programs.
