For almost all desk jobs, computer knowledge is a must. Basic computer training is done beginning from an early age and most elementary schools teach their students to type the correct way and research on the web. Some jobs require more computer usage than others and some may feel that it is a good fit for them maybe because they find themselves to be quite computer/tech savvy. To take their interest to the next level, information technology, also known as IT might be a good career for people who find themselves to be tech savvy. Studying IT online makes a lot of sense because a traditional campus, classroom atmosphere is not needed as most of the training is done through the computer. An online degree sometimes allows you to complete the degree faster and more efficiently. Some schools offer a combination of BS/MS in information technology which ultimately shortens your completion time by one or even a few quarters. There are specializations within the IT field and you can advance at a BS, MS, MBA, or even a PhD level.
